It’s the much-requested sequel to How to Dress Like a Street Style Star!
Our audience has been pleading for, no, demanding, more fashion advice since our wildly popular February guide was based on the Fall/Winter presentations in the previous month. Forget what you heard, aspiring fashion icons: the industry’s biggest names in fashion are returning to New York, which means more stunning new looks for you to copy.
New York City has become a mecca for the world’s elite to gather and both check out the collections of the world’s best designers and show off their own personal style. If you can’t utilize Fashion Week to flaunt your fabulousness, then what is the point? If you didn’t get an invite this time, don’t worry; thanks to the Internet, you may become a fashion icon in your own right. Almost as if it were designed just to tell your followers that you’re awesome, Instagram helps you stay on top of their minds.
Firstly you need to have some mask to put on. We searched the runways and after-parties for this season’s most chic outfits so you don’t have to. Adhering to these guidelines alone will make you Street style star.
Tip-1
One, it is quite warm (scorching) during Fashion Week in September. Don’t be that person who shows up to the after-party in the laundromat’s basement with (gasp!) sweat stains on their clothes. A loincloth and some nipple tassels are all that’s needed for being a street style star.
Tip-2
Fall has arrived, though, so that’s a change. You may have chosen to buy all the latest and greatest fashions of the season rather than pay your rent or your utility bills, but now is the time to show off your splurging. The fur, the fur, the fur, the 90-degree heat, and the 80% humidity, be damned.
Tip-3
This year’s Fashion Week is not expected to be affected by snow or salt. In honor of the occasion, let your footwear freak flag fly. The only time of year when it’s socially acceptable to be a whole foot taller than you really are is Halloween. Do you have access to a pair of stilts?
Tip-4
This year’s Fashion Week features a number of up-and-coming designers. Dressing up as a tent newbie is a great way to bring attention to the idea that everyone is welcome. You will have a modern and stylish appearance. Should we suggest that you check out Lauren Conrad?
Tip-5
Fifth, you may have heard that the ’90s are having a renaissance. Dressing up like you’re about to start kindergarten is the simplest way to pull off this look. It’s very trendy right now and such fabric is also available very easily and even you can even try to be a street style star.
Tip-6
New York City is continually influenced by the weather and other natural factors. In addition to the usual summer heat, wet weather often arrives at this time of year. The true trendsetter, though, does not think ahead; she probably doesn’t even have the Weather Channel app on her phone. Don’t bother with an umbrella; being caught in the rain adds an air of chic to your clothing.
Tip-7
A variety of patterns It’s not the first time they’ve been hot; they still are. If you’ve done your job well, your pals will be asking, “Hmm…was she clothed by a group of preschool children?”
Tip-8
Adding layers upon layers To be clear, we are not referring to the tried-and-true method of layering a coat over a pair of sneakers. Yawn! Try not to pile on as many extra layers as possible. Can you wear a skirt with pants? Good. An added bra, blouse, skirt, or pants? Better!
Tip-9
The popularity of sneakers in the fashion industry is here to stay. However, there is a wide range of options, including the classic Nike, the Yeezy, and the Stan Smith. Choosing one is the same process as picking a kid. When you were in high school did you have a pair of lawnmowers? Bingo.
Tip-10
Even if you’re still a baby and want to flaunt your bikini body, you should avoid wearing skin-tight clothing. The emphasis this season is on volume. Many more people should be able to squeeze into the available spaces.
